2013 Business of the Year Award

Each year our chamber recognizes several outstanding businesses for their success, staying power, growth, innovativeness, contributions to the community, and commitment to good business practices.

We’ve wanted this business to be recognized for several years now.  They go about their business quietly, with little fanfare, yet they provide outstanding service, stand behind their products with warranties on parts against defects for the life of the product to its original owner, and much more.  Their website shows customer review after review of outstanding service – and it’s the customer’s actual first and last names.  They’ve been through multiple locations, given back to their community, keep employees for an average of 8 to 10 years, and greet all their customers with a smile.  They cater to tourists who are learning about our area, putting them out on the Pinellas Trail with all the information they need for a great experience.  Plus locals love them.  Quality products, no high pressure sales, and making good on their products or service has kept this company in business for a remarkable 35 years.  Many of us in this room have done business there.  Please join me in a big round of applause for our Small Business of the Year, The Energy Conservatory Bike Shop, and its owner, Bob Nohren.
